Hosting both their ceremony and reception indoors, Andrea and Michael prepared for the day in their respective suites before meeting for a first look. Andrea’s bridal suite offered floor-to-ceiling windows where she hung her wedding dress. With views of the deep blue sea behind her, we began the day by photographing Andrea getting ready with her mom by her side. Andrea has an effervescent smile, and her laughter is positively contagious. The excitement in the air was palpable, even during those early getting-ready moments before the ceremony began.

Meanwhile, Michael fastened his cufflinks and slipped on a white tuxedo jacket as he prepared to meet his bride. His sleek look complemented his stunning bride, setting the stage for their classic black tie wedding.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Wedding

After working with Andrea and Michael on a collection of wedding day portraiture, we were off to their Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding ceremony at Sonesta. Rows and rows of sleek acrylic chairs were laid out for their guests with white orchid & cala lily floral arrangements accenting the space. At the altar, a floral hoop made of cala lilies awaited with candles of varying heights, setting the tone. Andrea made her grand entrance with her long lace-lined cathedral-length veil trailing behind her. She and Michael recited their wedding vows, solidifying their union and joining them in marriage. We have never seen a groom as ecstatic as Michael. Once they were pronounced married, Michael lifted Andrea’s arm high up in the air with his own, celebrating the moment they officially became husband and wife.

But the party that awaited their Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding was the stuff of legends. Andrea and Michael enlisted the help of a local wedding planner to organize their details to perfection. When it was time for their room reveal, the look on their faces said it all. All of the hard work and planning paid off, and all that was left was unsurpassed joy. The night was upon them, and they were ready to spend it side by side with the people they love the most. There were cold sparklers on the dance floor, an interactive photo booth, a Hora Loca that brought the vibe and got everyone out of their seats, and a late-night Ramen snack for their guests to refuel after a long night of dancing.
