The Cloisters

The Ancient Spanish Monastery is perhaps one of the most historic wedding venues that Miami has to offer. It is known through striking images of unforgettable scenery, most notably, of its cloisters. This arched area surrounding the building is a partially covered open gallery and inspires a sense of awe for all who experience it. This area of the venue dates back over 800 years, with construction originally beginning in 1133 AD in Sacramenia, Northern Spain. The cloisters were later completed in 1141. However, they didn’t make their way to Miami until 1952, when they were shipped from NY, and reassembled, later earning themselves a feature in Time Magazine.

Today, the ancient structure sits proudly at the venue, and they are renowned for their astonishing beauty. The space within the Cloisters is available to couples who plan an Ancient Spanish Monastery wedding in Miami. It is an ideal location at the venue for hosting a softly lit wedding reception where you and your guests will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience on the night of your wedding. If your Ancient Spanish Monastery wedding will be a ceremony-only experience, you will have time built into your venue rental that will allow you to enjoy a photography experience within the Cloisters. Photos within the Clositers evoke an otherworld sense of romance and reverence, filling the images of your wedding day with the beauty of the past.
