2021 Dipp Photography Year in Review

2021 was quite a year for Dipp Photography!

We experienced business growth, our clients took us to amazing destinations, and we added new family members to our team. There were also workshops, late nights, social media, blog posts, and lots of hours spent editing! There were new opportunities to learn from industry leaders and amazing new clients in front of the camera. But above all there was love. Time spent with family, the wedding pros that we work side by side with, and beautiful friendships.

I thought it would be fun to do a little something different with this blog post and look back at the top 5 posts of the year. The good stuff, the highly viewed posts that our readers just couldn’t get enough of!

No. 1 | Vizcaya Museum Engagement Photos | Diana & Juan

Vizcaya is such a hot spot for our couples to shoot their engagement photos, so I wasn’t too surprised that it made the number one spot. While we have worked with so many amazing couples at Vizcaya, Diana & Juan’s love story is like no other.

The type of love that Diana & Juan share could only be described as that once-in-a-lifetime, magical, fairytale type of love! It is evident in the way that they look into each other’s eyes and the way that they take each other’s hands. I truly believe that’s why they made the number one spot! Working with them was an absolute joy, and the love that they share shines through every single shot we took that day! Click the photo below to see more details of their shoot.

No. 2 | Tree Tops Park Engagement Photos | Ashley & Tim

Tree Tops Park is a local hidden gem that I recommend to my couples for their engagement photos! At the time of this shoot, Ashley and Tim were a newly engaged couple and they were a little shy and very much concerned with being photographed. It’s not an uncommon feeling to have when being professionally photographed for the first time as a couple.

One of the things I am passionate about with my photography is working with my couples to build their confidence in front of the camera. I like to put them at ease in order to bring out their natural vibe. Once they feel at ease, they can just be with each other and that’s when I capture the magic! That’s exactly what Ashley & Tim’s shoot was all about! You wouldn’t even be able to tell by looking at their session that they were concerned about being in front of the camera! No. 3 | Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden Engagement Photos | Mariolys & Seth

You are going to fall in love with this session at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden!! It’s an amazing outdoor location for engagement photos in Coral Gables. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden checks off every box of the ideal South Florida photoshoot location checklist. Tropical plants, check, bursting colorful flowering trees, check, twisted vines, check, and of course plenty of sunshine! Add in the stone pathways, waterfalls, and benches made just for two, and you have a recipe for romance!

My amazing couple, Mariolys & Seth warmed up in front of the camera quickly and they were so ready to celebrate their upcoming wedding. I hadn’t been back to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in a while so it was especially fun for me to work with them in this gorgeous landscape.

Mariolys wore a deeply shaded gown with a thigh-high split paired perfectly with nude heels. It worked out amazingly for the location and her gown popped against the backdrop of the bold pink flowers growing all around us! If you want to see all of the lush details, click to open their post!

No. 4 | Rusty Pelican Miami Wedding | Rayna & Oscar

I love it when my couples make romance the center of their day. Pair that with a dreamy venue like The Rusty Pelican in Miami, and you have Rayna & Oscar’s wedding!

Rayna and Oscar prepared for the day at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne before hopping in their silky vintage Rolls Royce and heading to The Rusty Pelican. Their wedding day was filled with colors of ivory, champagne, and blush. And the best part, the views from inside the Rusty Pelican! The venue overlooks Key Biscayne and there is no other venue quite like it! Right at golden hour (my favorite!), I took my couple outside to let the sunset over them and capture a moment they would never forget, you just have to see the full details below!

No. 5 | Matheson Hammock Park Engagement | Cristina & Ernie

I always talk about choosing the perfect location, for you as a couple, to take your engagement photos. Miami is filled with so many gorgeous local parks and Matheson Hammock is one of them!

Shooting engagement photos in a local park can still provide you with an intimate feeling. I know all the good, tucked-away spots so you don’t have to worry about feeling awkward in front of onlookers and park goers. And, the best part, you don’t need to bring along any props with you! Nature is your backdrop! You can get glammed up to the max in a gorgeous gown with your fiancé in a complementary suit and look like total rock stars (like Cristina & Ernie did!) !!
