The Barn 305 Miami Wedding Venue
An intimate & elegant wedding day at The Barn 305, Miami wedding venue. See more details from Diana and Luis' wedding day, below.
Diana and Luis selected The Barn 305 Miami wedding venue to host their sophisticated and intimate wedding. Draped in elegance, their wedding venue was refined and rustic, with organic elements that curated an unforgettable event.
The couple's selected venue, The Barn 305, located in Miami, is stretched across 10 acres of sprawling greenery. It’s a tucked-away wedding venue that offers a secret garden feeling with lush trees, waterfalls, and countless strands of lighting overhead. All in all, providing an awe-inspiring backdrop for hosting your vows and a night of celebration with those you cherish the most.
An Intimate Celebration at Barn 305
When we arrived to capture Diana and Luis' wedding day, they were putting the final touches on their attire. Luis fastened his suit coat and fixed his bowtie while Diana affixed a matching pearl-lined veil to her chic pearl-corseted wedding gown.
Oftentimes, those final moments, just before our couples prepare to walk down the aisle, are filled with an abundance of joy and excitement. Our approach is to curate images filled with emotion, driven by the unique love they share, which allows them to relive the anticipation over and over again.
Wedding ceremonies at The Barn 305 are held in an open-air setting, with extensive seating offered, no matter the size of your guest list. In total, the venue allows for up to 400 guests, with private parking located within the boundaries of the property.
The aisle leading up to the ceremony space is surrounded by a pond, with the altar nestled on an oversized lily pad, just under two larger-than-life trees that frame the space. It was here that Diana and Luis were joined in marriage, with the people they hold most dear in attendance to honor the next step in their journey together.
Their celebration that evening at their Miami wedding venue, The Barn 305, was filled with unique decor elements that emphasized their love story. When they took to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife, they danced ‘on the clouds’ with a lush, oversized, floral installation hanging overhead. Additionally, a flower wall inside their reception space was emblazoned with a neon sign joining together Diana and Luis’ initials along with the year of their wedding, a memento to later hang in the home they share.
As the night wore on, their friends and family were treated to a luscious, multi-course dinner service, where toasts and speeches were given in their honor. But, to wrap up the evening, the bride and groom treated their guests to an epic surprise. A Hora Loca arrived at their reception, providing live entertainment that added effervescent energy to the dance floor for guests of all ages. Spaces Available for your Spanish Monastery Wedding
A Spanish Monastery wedding is one where each of your events will unfold through various spaces featured throughout the venue. Below, you’ll find an overview of the spaces offered for hosting your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and wedding photography experience.
The Cloisters
The Ancient Spanish Monastery is perhaps one of the most historic wedding venues that Miami has to offer. It is known through striking images of unforgettable scenery, most notably, of its cloisters. This arched area surrounding the building is a partially covered open gallery and inspires a sense of awe for all who experience it. This area of the venue dates back over 800 years, with construction originally beginning in 1133 AD in Sacramenia, Northern Spain. The cloisters were later completed in 1141. However, they didn’t make their way to Miami until 1952, when they were shipped from NY, and reassembled, later earning themselves a feature in Time Magazine.
Today, the ancient structure sits proudly at the venue, and they are renowned for their astonishing beauty. The space within the Cloisters is available to couples who plan an Ancient Spanish Monastery wedding in Miami. It is an ideal location at the venue for hosting a softly lit wedding reception where you and your guests will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience on the night of your wedding. If your Ancient Spanish Monastery wedding will be a ceremony-only experience, you will have time built into your venue rental that will allow you to enjoy a photography experience within the Cloisters. Photos within the Clositers evoke an otherworld sense of romance and reverence, filling the images of your wedding day with the beauty of the past.
The Chapel
Indoor wedding ceremonies at the Ancient Spanish Monastery primarily take place in two places: The Chapel or The Chapter House. The Chapel is an enclosed space, offering a traditional setting for a religious wedding ceremony. It features beautifully ornate stone architecture and rows of wooden pews for your guests to honor your marriage with their presence. In total, the main Chapel can accommodate up to 150 seated guests.
Chapter House
The Chapter House at the Ancient Spanish Monastery is a slightly smaller chapel setting for hosting your wedding ceremony at the venue. In total, this space can accommodate up to 80 seated guests. The Chapter House also features beautifully ornate stone architecture and rows of individual seating for your guests.
Gardens
The stunning landscape of the gardens is lush and serene, offering you a resplendent location on site for hosting your cocktail hour or ceremony. Open-air wedding ceremonies may take place in the gardens, with the beauty of the venue's facade framing your vows. The space in the gardens also hosts a dance floor under the stars for wedding receptions taking place in the Cloisters. Finally, the Gardens are available for hosting a one-hour cocktail hour between your ceremony and reception.
Getting Ready Suite
Included in your rental of the Ancient Spanish Monastery is access to their getting-ready suite. This space is a dressing room that will be available to you up to 3 hours before the start time of your wedding and up to one hour after your ceremony or reception. The getting ready suite features two tables, six chairs, an ottoman, and an extra-tall closet, which is perfect for hanging floor-length gowns.
The Bridal Suite
There is an additional suite available at the Ancient Spanish Monastery for a rental fee of $250. This space is larger than the included suite and is ideal for weddings with large-sized wedding parties who need extra space to prepare for the day. This space is outfitted with a crystal chandelier, and you’ll find it located just past the gates. The bridal suite includes heating and air, a floor-length mirrored wall, and high fit racks for floor-length gowns. This space is filled with radiant, glowing light, making it an ideal location to capture pre-wedding photos as you prepare for your first look.

Thalatta Estate Wedding
A historical estate wedding venue in South Florida, a Thalatta Estate wedding is one filled with idyllic views of Biscayne National Park and the glittering shores of Palmetto Bay. Click for more details or to book your photography & videography package.
South Florida features many stunning estate wedding venues that are full of the area’s history, dating back to the early 20th century. Thalatta Estate is one of those wedding venues that has withstood the test of time, transforming from an opulent home to an outdoor wedding venue where couples celebrate the beginning of their forever.
Thalatta Estate lies stretched along the shores of Biscayne Bay. The beautiful property was originally a two-story residence built by the Connett family in 1926. The sprawling grounds feature over four acres of verdant lawns with pristine views of Biscayne National Park, and the best part, the idyllic glittering waters of Palmetto Bay.
What was once a mansion home to the Connett family is now a highly sought-after estate in Florida for hosting weddings and events. Much of the original beauty and splendor of the Mediterranean-Revival home remains intact today, welcoming couples who wish to host an open-air wedding day. Offering a piece of Florida’s history to couples who wish to call Thalatta Estate their own.
A Noteworthy Thalatta Estate Wedding
One of the things that couples, like Kyra and Sebastian, enjoy the most about a Thalatta Estate wedding is the open setting. The expansive setting offers you and your guests majestic views of the natural surroundings, flanked by the aged Banyan tree on the grounds. Additionally, the estate's original Carriage House still remains on site and is located just adjacent to the reception area, providing a touch of vintage charm and a heavy dose of whimsy to your modern-day Thalatta Estate wedding.
Kyra and Sebastian used this space to enjoy a sit-down dinner with their guests. Place settings were carefully curated in shades of cream, white, and gold. Furthermore, floral arrangements accented guest tables in shades of vibrant, tropical greenery. Before dinner took place, the couple’s closest family members gave speeches and toasts honoring Kyra and Sebastian’s love story, which started during their college days.
An open-air dance floor was set among the center of their reception. This allowed Kyra and Sebastian a night of celebration under the stars, with vibrant cafe lights that kept the celebration going all night, with their guests by their side. When it was time to take the party to the next level, Kyra changed into a fun and flirty reception dress. Her short reception gown was full of volume and allowed her to hit the dance floor with Sebastian, taking in every festive moment that came their way. Including the moment their live painter unveiled the portrait that was created in real time for their Thalatta Estate Wedding.
Thalatta Estate Photos
The views from inside a wedding at Thalatta Estate are undeniable. When you opt to book Thalatta Estate as your chosen wedding venue in South Florida, the venue allows you to explore the grounds for your portrait experience with your photographer and videographer by your side.

Andrea & Michael said I do with a chic Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding. Their wedding day style was unmatched. But their attention to detail when planning their wedding was truly exceptional. We’re sharing all the details about their gorgeous wedding venue, Sonensta Fort Lauderdale Beach, and the fun elements that made their night pop below.
Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach Wedding
Undeniably, one of the most crucial factors for planning an unforgettable wedding day is selecting a venue that reflects your personal sense of style and the experience you wish to bring to your guests. Located along the blue-green shores of the glittering Atlantic, Sonesta in Fort Lauderdale Beach is a stunning wedding venue and resort. The resort provides easy access to the sandy shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Additionally, the wedding venue spaces within the resort offer idyllic views of the ocean in the backdrop. White crested waves ebb and flow off in the distance, all in all creating a beautifully scenic location to host your wedding ceremony and reception.
Hosting both their ceremony and reception indoors, Andrea and Michael prepared for the day in their respective suites before meeting for a first look. Andrea’s bridal suite offered floor-to-ceiling windows where she hung her wedding dress. With views of the deep blue sea behind her, we began the day by photographing Andrea getting ready with her mom by her side. Andrea has an effervescent smile, and her laughter is positively contagious. The excitement in the air was palpable, even during those early getting-ready moments before the ceremony began.
Meanwhile, Michael fastened his cufflinks and slipped on a white tuxedo jacket as he prepared to meet his bride. His sleek look complemented his stunning bride, setting the stage for their classic black tie wedding.
Fort Lauderdale Beach Wedding
After working with Andrea and Michael on a collection of wedding day portraiture, we were off to their Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding ceremony at Sonesta. Rows and rows of sleek acrylic chairs were laid out for their guests with white orchid & cala lily floral arrangements accenting the space. At the altar, a floral hoop made of cala lilies awaited with candles of varying heights, setting the tone. Andrea made her grand entrance with her long lace-lined cathedral-length veil trailing behind her. She and Michael recited their wedding vows, solidifying their union and joining them in marriage. We have never seen a groom as ecstatic as Michael. Once they were pronounced married, Michael lifted Andrea’s arm high up in the air with his own, celebrating the moment they officially became husband and wife.
But the party that awaited their Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding was the stuff of legends. Andrea and Michael enlisted the help of a local wedding planner to organize their details to perfection. When it was time for their room reveal, the look on their faces said it all. All of the hard work and planning paid off, and all that was left was unsurpassed joy. The night was upon them, and they were ready to spend it side by side with the people they love the most. There were cold sparklers on the dance floor, an interactive photo booth, a Hora Loca that brought the vibe and got everyone out of their seats, and a late-night Ramen snack for their guests to refuel after a long night of dancing. It was an epic celebration hosted with finely curated details, and you can see some of our favorite moments through the photos below.

Beautiful architecture with worldly influence, Villa Woodbine is a magnificent wedding venue located in Miami.
Are you getting ready to plan your dream wedding in Miami? Chances are the first thing you began searching for was a picture-perfect venue to host your ceremony and reception celebration. As a Miami wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with local couples at numerous local venues. Without a doubt, one of the most stunning venues in Miami is Villa Woodbine. This unique venue offers a completely outdoor wedding day experience. Additionally, Villa Woodbine is conveniently accessible from Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Coral Gables, and Miami Beach. Making a dream location to host a wedding for couples who have guests attending from out of town.
Below, I am detailing the history of Villa Woodbine, along with pricing, wedding packages, and everything you need to know about planning your enchanting wedding day at this unforgettable venue. Keep reading for more details.
History of Villa Woodbine
Villa Woodbine is a Miami wedding venue with a story to tell. The historic mansion was originally constructed in the 1930s. It was the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyd (paper industry tycoons), who wished to escape the cold winters in their Wisconsin home. At the time that Villa Woodbine was built, no expense was spared in making it fully amenable to the Boyd family for their sunny winters among the Florida palm trees.
Eventually, the estate passed through the family until the 1960s, when the property began to be leased. Rumor has it that Villa Woodbine was the ‘office’ used to plan the Bay of Pics invasion. Today, Villa Woodbine is known as a well sought-after Miami wedding venue where thousands of weddings and events have been hosted. Among the numerous events taking place on its property are celebrations for celebrities Michael Jordan, Usher, Anne Rice, Regis Philbin, and Kathy Lee Gifford and her late husband, Frank Gifford.
In modern times, local couples seek out Villa Woodbine to plan a wedding day infused with the venue's impeccably designed architecture evoking the Mediterranean-Renaissance style, open-air layout, Spanish-influenced arches, and al fresco courtyard. The venue is as beautiful as it sounds, and I highly recommend it to any couple who wishes to plan a Miami wedding wrapped up in fantasy and romance.
Villa Woodbine Pricing
One of the biggest components that couples search for when planning their Villa Woodbine wedding is pricing. Because the venue offers in-house catering (more on that below), as you can imagine, pricing will greatly vary depending on your specific needs.
The pricing for a Villa Woodbine wedding begins at $5000. With catering options starting at $50 per person. The average venue spend; including catering, for a wedding at Villa Woodbine is around $30,000. It is important to remember that these prices do not yet include taxes, rental fees, and service fees. Additionally, Villa Woodbine offers off-season pricing for weddings taking place from the months of June through September.
Villa Woodbine Wedding Photos
Undeniably, Villa Woodbine is one of the most stunning venues for wedding photos. The facade of the building embodies Mediterranean charm with arched windows and surrounding terraces. Residing on the lawn is a towering oak tree that serves as the focal point for your vows. The lawn and gardens are lush and impeccably well-maintained, with regional palm trees framing the venue, creating an intimate space to immerse yourself in on the day of your wedding. Villa Woodbine Wedding Planning Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions about planning your wedding at Villa Woodbine? Below are some of the most frequently asked questions, with answers to help guide you through the wedding planning process
What is the total capacity of a wedding at Villa Woodbine?
Villa Woodbine has the ability to host up to 225 guests for a seated dinner reception. Of course, if you have a specific seating design or configuration in mind, you will need to work with your planner in order to accommodate your total number of guests through different seating configurations.
Tell me More About the Dance Floor at Villa Woodbine….
Villa Woodbine offers a wedding day dance floor within the Villa’s loggia. This is a pre-existing dance floor area, so there is no need to rent or set up an additional dance floor elsewhere at the venue.
Will I Need to Rent Tables, Chairs, or Linens?
No. Round tables, Chivari chairs, linens, flatware, and glassware are all included in your Villa Woodbine wedding package. Once your wedding date has been secured, an event producer will schedule a time for you to visit their showroom. From there, your wedding day vision will be brought to life through your selected color palette and overall design approach. There will also be additional upgrades available should you need them, but they are entirely optional.
What About Lighting?
Within the grounds of the venue, Villa Woodine has several towering oak trees. These trees are wrapped in twinkle lights (throughout the year). Additionally, you will find the same level of lighting fixed throughout their garden. Should your wedding require additional lighting, your event producer will show you the available upgrades, such as chandeliers, to make your wedding day sparkle.
Is Villa Woodbine an Exclusive Wedding Venue?
Yes! On the day of your Villa Woodbine wedding, yours will be the only event taking place. That means you won’t have to worry about noise or guests from another wedding or event spilling over into your experience. Additionally, you and your guests will be able to enjoy a fully immersive wedding day experience through the exclusive use of the grounds for your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and photography experience.
Does Villa Woodbine Offer a Getting Ready Suite?
Yes! You will be able to prepare for the day at the venue. The getting ready suite is located on the second floor. This space can accommodate up to 8 guests (with comfortable seating) and includes access to a private restroom. Additionally, the getting ready suite at Villa Woodbine offers access to a beautiful terrace that overlooks the courtyard and garden. Personally, I love accessing the terraces to create stunning portraits on the morning of your wedding. You will be able to enter the getting ready suite at 10 am on the day of your wedding. If you find that you need to arrive on site earlier for hair and makeup, you can add additional hours of access to your Villa Woodbine wedding package.
Is There a Weather Contingency Plan?
Villa Woodbine is an outdoor wedding venue, so having a weather contingency plan in place is a must, especially in a location such as South Florida, where rain can easily make an appearance. Villa Woodbine offers a contingency plan window of 2-4 days prior to your wedding. This will allow you enough time to keep an eye on current weather conditions while deciding whether or not a tent will be needed for your wedding.
How Does Catering Work for my Villa Woodbine Wedding?
Catering at Villa Woodbine is offered exclusively by Bill Hansen Catering. They are a trusted name in the wedding industry and are renowned for their unique and delectable offerings. When it comes to building your wedding menu, Bill Hansen Catering will work with you to craft every selection, from hors d'oeuvres to your main course.
Can I Select My Own Wedding Vendors?
You can hire your own wedding vendors for the following services:
Wedding Planners
Day of Coordination
Florists
Furniture & Decor
Hair & Makeup Artists
Officiants
Bakers
Beverage Companies
DJs and live bands must be selected from Villa Woodbine’s pre-approved vendor list. Lastly, catering, tenting, lighting and restroom trailers are all offered exclusively through the venue.
Am I Required to Hire a Wedding Planner?
Villa Woodbine does not require that you hire a wedding planner, however, it is highly recommended. A wedding planner will keep your day running smoothly, adhering to your timeline while coordinating the intricate details of your wedding with your other vendors. It is becoming progressively common for wedding venues to require that you work with a wedding planner. However, as of right now, a wedding planner for your Villa Wodbine wedding is more of a mere suggestion.

Club of Knights Miami Wedding
Club of Knights Miami wedding was planned with various unique elements for a carefully curated wedding day full of love & celebration. Click below for more.
Kristin and Henrique’s Club of Knights Miami wedding was planned with various unique elements for a carefully curated wedding day full of love & celebration. When I first spoke to Kristin and Henrique during the planning process, I was surprised to learn that they both currently reside in Houston. But, the majority of their family members live in South Florida. So, they opted to plan a Club of Knights Miami wedding in order to have their friends and family in attendance on the day they were joined in marriage.
When the day of their wedding arrived, the morning was spent in their respective getting-ready suites at The Biltmore Hotel in Miami. Kristin and her wedding party had professional hair and makeup done and wore matching lace trim robes throughout the entire getting-ready process. But, we paused for a few moments to enjoy the energy and excitement in the air (our colleagues, SLOtography, do the same for their couples in CA). Those final moments, before they slipped on their gowns, were filled with so much anticipation and enthusiasm between friends who share a deeply connective bond. They all shared a laugh before Kristin was buttoned into her romantic off-the-shoulder bridal gown with lace overlay and on her way to meet Henrique for their first look.

The Mediterranean-inspired grounds of the Biltmore Hotel in Miami were an amazing setting for Kristin and Henrique’s first look. The Hotel, which opened in 1926 is now a national landmark, but much of the original beauty remains intact. Roman columns accent the stone stairways and a lavish fountain sits at the base of the outdoor courtyard. Upon laying eyes on his bride, Henrique’s stunned happiness turned to utter joy. It was a tender moment shared between a loving couple who were ready to be joined in marriage.
Their wedding ceremony took place at The Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables. Much like the Biltmore Hotel, The Church of the Little Flower is renowned for its stunning historical stone architecture. Here, in this exquisite backdrop, Kristin and Henrique recited their holy vows of matrimony before being joined in the sacrament of marriage.
Once pronounced husband and wife, it was time to celebrate their union with their closest friends and family members by their side. Their Club of Knights Miami wedding reception was a beautifully set intimate dining experience. Crisp white decor was accented by softly glowing candles as the newlyweds enjoyed the company of their guests.
When it was time to kick their Club of Knights Miami wedding into full gear, the DJ spun some fun dance tracks to get everyone out of their chairs and onto the dance floor. The props came out, the lights strobed and drinks were in hand as Kristin and Henrique let loose with their guests for an epic celebration. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens Wedding Guide
A full detailed guide to planning an exquisite wedding at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Find more details on pricing, capacity, and your wedding photography experience at Vizcaya.
Beautiful historic architecture stretched across the glittering waters of Biscayne Bay, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a magnificent wedding venue in Miami. If you’ve ever gone for a leisurely stroll through Vizcaya on a Sunday afternoon, you may have fallen in love with otherworldly views and lush gardens. Reminiscent of Tuscan gardens, Vizcaya has a majestic quality with oceanside views; which makes it a highly sought-after wedding venue in South Florida.
Vizcaya functions as a wedding ceremony venue during daytime hours. But when the sun sets, it flourishes with romance, allowing couples in love to step inside and say I do with a full wedding day experience. You can book your Vizcaya wedding almost any day of the year; with the exception of a few major holidays. Although, planning a wedding at Vizcaya is no small undertaking, so we’ve put together this guide to help you navigate the ins and outs of your Vizcaya wedding.
Daytime Vizcaya Wedding Ceremony
If you’re thinking about a daytime ceremony for your Vizcaya wedding, you have the option of getting married in their exquisite gardens. Typically, daytime Vizcaya weddings happen during the hours of 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
There are a few restrictions worth mentioning when it comes to planning a daytime Vizcaya wedding. Guest chairs, wedding canopies, or aisle runners are not permitted for a daytime garden wedding ceremony at Vizcaya. If you would like to be married under a Chuppah to honor your Jewish faith, hand-held Chuppahs are permitted. Additionally, Vizcaya does not allow food or beverages on-site to be consumed during a garden wedding ceremony. In the instance of a daytime Vizcaya wedding, it may be best to host your wedding reception or brunch off-site at an alternate venue.
It is also worth noting that if you do plan on hosting a daytime wedding at Vizcaya, your guests or wedding party will not receive access to the Main House. However, as the couple getting married, you will be allowed to access the main house with your Miami wedding photographer in order to curate a beautiful wedding photography experience.
Evening Weddings at Vizcaya
Evening weddings at Vizcaya are something to behold. With the sun having set over the horizon and the grounds aglow with soft lighting, Vizcaya becomes a wondrous wedding venue. There is more flexibility in planning an evening wedding at Vizcaya. However, it will require the assistance of a professional wedding planner when it comes to design, decor, and production.
Vizcaya is a historical property so they require their couples to work with caterers and planners from their list of approved vendors. There are several rules and regulations involved in planning a wedding at Vizcaya in order to maintain the beauty and history of the property. But, working with a wedding planner from their preferred list will ensure that your wedding runs smoothly and in accordance with all applicable rules. You find a complete list of Vizcaya’s approved wedding planners, at this link.
Evening wedding ceremonies at Vizcaya take place can be held in the Garden. Here your wedding planner can orchestrate rows and rows of guest seating, along with your aisle, and frame your altar with a floral arch or canopy for a magical wedding ceremony experience.
The allotted hours for an evening wedding at Vizcaya are from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Extended evening hours are available and we’ve broken them down for you in the pricing guide below. During your wedding, you and your guests will have exclusive use of Vizcayas inner courtyard, outsider terraces, and the garden.
Your wedding vendors may begin unloading on the day of your wedding at 3:00 pm through the upper and lower east terrace. However, if you find that your wedding at Vizcaya requires earlier load-in times, you can add a set number of hours to your package.
Vizcaya Wedding Spaces & Capacity
Vizcaya offers several locations on its grounds to host your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception. Each and every space is unique, provides beautiful views, and has its own distinct capacity.
Vizcaya Wedding Ceremonies
There are three specific locations to host your wedding ceremony at Vizcaya. The Courtyard, the Gardens, or the Main House. Each of these spaces is just as gorgeous as the next. The location you decide on will all depend on your wedding day vision as well as your total expected guest count.
Vizcaya Wedding Cocktail Hour
Are you thinking about hosting an unforgettable cocktail hour for your guests after your ceremony? Your cocktail hour is a wonderful way to give your guests the ability to mix and mingle and enjoy the grounds while you and your partner are off soaking up your newlywed status while capturing wedding photos. The cocktail hour of your wedding can be hosted in the Courtyard of the Main House, the Gardens, or the Terraces that overlook Biscayne Bay. The space you select will depend on the overall flow and timeline of your wedding. For example, if your ceremony is taking place in the Gardens, you might want to talk to your wedding planner about what would make the most sense for your cocktail hour.
Vizcaya Wedding Reception
For wedding receptions with less than 100 guests, you can host your post-ceremony celebration in the Main House or the Courtyard. Each of these spaces provides enough room for a seated reception of up to 100 guests.
The terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay and the Vizcaya Gardens is available for wedding receptions with 100 or more guests. If you are hosting a wedding with over 100 guests, you will be required to tent the area.
Parking for Your Wedding at Vizcaya
Parking and transportation can get sticky at Vizcaya if you are hosting a wedding with a large number of guests. The Vizcaya lot provides 125 parking spaces and use of the parking lot is included in the overall cost of your venue rental. However, if you are planning a wedding of up to 300 guests you may want to let friends and family know that additional parking is available across the street from Vizcaya’s main house on South Miami Avenue.
Traffic Control
If throughout the planning process, you find that your guest list is somewhere between 200-300 guests, Vizcaya highly recommends retaining Miami-Dade police officers for your event. Doing so will help control the flow of traffic for your guests as well as the pedestrian crossing on South Miami Avenue. The total cost of retaining Miami-Dade police offers for your event is $150 per hour and requires a four-hour minimum.
Total Cost of a Vizcaya Wedding
There are a few different costs involved with booking a wedding at Vizcaya. However, each of these costs pertains solely to the rental of Vizcaya as your wedding venue and does not include additional costs such as your planner, photographer, rentals, decor, or food and beverage service. Let’s break them down a bit more to give you an idea of Vizcaya’s pricing structure.
For a daytime Garden wedding ceremony for up to 25 guests, the total cost is $2,000. Each additional guest (up to 25) will be billed at a cost of $25 each
For an evening wedding at Vizcaya, the base rental fee is $23k for up to 100 guests. Each additional guest (up to 300 maximum) is billed at a cost of $25 each
For any evening weddings that take place from Sunday to Thursday, you have the ability to add on an additional hour to your wedding from 11 pm to midnight at a cost of $2400
For any evening weddings that take place on Friday or Saturday, you have the ability to add additional time to your wedding from the hours of 11 pm to 1 am at a cost of $2400 per hour
In order to book your wedding at Vizcaya a minimum deposit of $7500 is due to hold the date of your wedding.
Early load in times for the day of your wedding can be added on to your package
From noon to 3 pm $9000
9 am to noon $18k
6 am to 9 am $18K
All the above-listed prices do not include 7% sales tax. Additionally, prices are subject to change so it’s important to properly coordinate your budget with your professional wedding planner.
Vizcaya Wedding Photos
There’s no denying that Vizcaya is one of the most scenic wedding venues in Miami. The historic stone architecture, Italian-inspired gardens, statues, verdant greenery, and the barge that resides in the bay will all be set against the backdrop of your wedding photos. It’s an ornate setting that requires a well-trained eye to create a vision of artistry through your wedding photos.
Additionally, if your wedding at Vizcaya will be a nighttime event, you may be left with little time (before or after your ceremony) to capture exquisite heirloom quality wedding photos with the gentle glow of golden hour hanging overhead in the distance.
When we work with our couples for their Vizcaya wedding photos, we highly recommend they add a first look to their wedding day timeline for this exact reason. Your wedding photography experience in a beautifully historic location like Vizcaya Museum & Gardens should not be rushed. It should be an experience to be savored and enjoyed, which will reflect a feeling of joy and harmony in your wedding photos.

Engagement photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens beckon the romantic at heart. It is a transformative space with an unequivocal air of luxury. Click below to see more details from Dianna and Vincent’s session.
Engagement photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens beckon the romantic at heart.
Previously occupied as a villa and estate, Vizcaya is now a Museum. The grounds of Vizcaya are renowned for its gardens, stone statues, and busts. All of which are infused with a dash of modern art from the time the villa was inhabited by James Deering. Local Miami residents flock to Vizccaya to learn more about its history, whose construction dates back to 1912.
But what sets Vizcaya Museum and Gardens apart from all the other historical locations in Miami is its ability to become a transformative space for engagement photos. Vizcaya is a well-sought-after destination for couples who are celebrating the next step in their relationship. With its idyllic setting stretched across the bay and its secluded secret garden surroundings, it’s an exquisite location that calls out to the hearts of lovers.
In fact, we have a long history of working with our couples to capture their engagement photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Each of their stories, from how they met, to how they became engaged is just as unique as the next. Dianna and Vincent, featured below, recently became engaged. Having known Dianna for what feels like a lifetime, we could not have been more excited to work with her and Vincent on their engagement photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It’s always a unique joy to connect with our couples through their wedding photography experience. But when a dear friend becomes engaged, they quickly turn from friend to family.

Dianna and Vincent arrived at their session ready and with open hearts that were prepared to take creative direction. It should be noted that Dianna is a makeup artist who works within the wedding industry. She is all too familiar with what goes on behind the scenes. Of course, she was also dressed impeccably and in full hair and makeup, which she put on herself. Having a special connection with Dianna and Vincent, we wanted to embrace our time together to the fullest.
We set out to explore every inch of the grounds at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. As a matter of fact, we quickly felt the day slip away as their engagement photos quickly went from sunny day to dusk. While you might think that the change overhead in the skies is a challenge during your engagement session, it was the exact opposite for Dianna and Vincent. As the dusk rolled in and with few clouds overhead, we were able to create a wide range of engagement photos for them at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. You can see a selection of our favorites when you scroll through the photos below.
Here are some common questions we receive when working with our couples on their Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Engagement Photos.
What is the best color to wear for engagement photos?
In a setting like Vizcaya, the possibilities are endless. We will say that many of our couples like to select attire that is a bit more formal. While Vizcaya is an outdoor setting, it’s also impeccably well-kept and has an unequivocal air of luxury to it. Whatever colors you select for your attire should be complementary to one another as opposed to matching. You’ll get to see how Dianna and Vincent achieved this below. If you’re wondering what to avoid, we’d say anything green, attire with a logo, or clothing with a distracting print.
Should you get professional hair & makeup for engagement photos?
Short answer, yes! Professionally done hair and makeup make all the difference for your engagement photos (our colleague James Lester in San Luis Obispo would agree!). It will allow the focus to lie squarely on you without the backdrop distracting from your beauty and your moment. Additionally, it will allow you to feel like the best version of yourself. Looking and feeling your best will allow you to show up to your session with total confidence. This helps take the nerves away and allows you to enjoy the time with your spouse as an intimate way to connect ahead of your wedding day.
Palms Hotel & Spa Miami Wedding

This Palms Hotel & Spa Miami wedding was elegant, graceful, and filled with time-honored wedding day traditions. Janna and Ethan may be a modern-day couple, but their wedding day was a beautiful classic celebration that observed their Jewish faith with their friends and family by their side.
Stretched across the coast of Miami Beach lays the Palms Hotel & Spa, a Miami wedding venue encompassed by towering verdant palm trees. The outdoor ceremony space at The Palms consists of a whimsical white gazebo on the lawn, accessed by the venue's beachside wooden stairway. Above the stairway, the venue's iconic name is scrawled across the top of the building. The space is idyllic but unlike any other outdoor wedding venue located on Miami Beach. It is elegant, yet provides the feeling of getting married at a quaint seaside resort with its outdoor palm frond fans and hints of the salty sea air drifting through the breeze.
It was here in this secluded space that Janna and Ethan became husband and wife. The couple originally met during their college days when they were both attending the University of Michigan nearly a decade ago. After seven joyous years together, enjoying all of life's adventures, Ethan asked Janna for her hand in marriage. During a staycation at the Eden Roc Hotel, the couple was quietly enjoying the white sands and the blue-green waters of the Atlantic when Ethan asked Janna to be by his side forever.

They began making preparations for their wedding at the Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami. There was family to invite from all corners of the nation including Chicago, New York, and Tampa. But the thing they were most looking forward to about their union was spending the night in celebration of their love.
When their wedding day arrived their wedding ceremony honored the traditions of their Jewish faith with the wrapping of the Tallit around the shoulders of the bride and groom, drinking from the Kiddish cup, and the smashing of the glass. Janna and Ethan’s rabbi also performed a signing of the ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract that details all the specifics of entering into marriage. They were overjoyed to be pronounced married with their family and friends erupting into a celebratory applause as they made their way down the aisle together as husband and wife.
We spent the entire day at Janna and Ethan's side during their Palms Hotel & Spa wedding in Miami. From the getting-ready moments in their suites to their first look, the ceremony, newlywed portraits, and their reception. Their wedding day was a full timeline of events and capturing each detail, every expressive emotion, and the beautifully planned setup and decor was undoubtedly our top priority (our colleague Branson Maxwell does this for his clients in Utah as well). There were softly shaded lush florals, gilt vases, dinner by candlelit, the breaking of the bread before dinner service, a champagne toast, and a cigar bar for guests to enjoy. You’ll get an inside look at Janna and Ethans Palms Hotel & Spa Miami wedding, through the photos below.

Rayshawn Jenkins of the Seattle Seahawks and his beautiful wife Emily were married in an elegant soiree aboard the SeaFair Mega Yacht in Miami.
There’s no denying that Miami is filled with a variety of exemplary wedding venues. Couples have their choice of saying I do at idyllic gardens, historic mansions, or world-renowned hotels. But, Seafair Mega Yacht is truly an iconic wedding venue in all that it provided for Emily and Rayshawn’s wedding day. Perched along a dock at the bay, SeaFair Mega Yacht provides couples with an immersive wedding day experience. Emily and Rayshawn took this approach when wedding planning their dream wedding day. They looked at different key elements they could bring to their guests, to create an unforgettable night of celebration.
Emily and her wedding party spent the morning of the wedding preparing in her suite at the Intercontinental Brickell. The hair and makeup team was on hand to provide Emily and her wedding party with glam looks, evoking the effortless feel of a bride preparing to marry at sea. As a Miami wedding photographer, I have always maintained the importance of making my brides feel confident on their wedding day. To begin the day, I worked with Emily on bridal portraits that depicted those cherished getting moments. The moments when she was able to soak it all in, snuggling her daughter, and preparing to embark on this journey together with Rayshawn. Emily's unique vision for her wedding day attire was a work of art. While preparing in her getting-ready suite, Emily donned a long dramatic sheer robe with layers of ruffles gathered at the sleeves and along the train. While it's evident that this piece of pre-wedding attire was heavy on dramatic tones, Emily stepped into the look so seamlessly.
You can find more information about working with Dipp Photography & Films to capture the love and joy of your wedding day, at this link.
As Emily prepared in her hote suite, Rayshawn was aboard SeaFair’s Mega Yacht, taking in the quiet moments. As a groom, Rayshawn was the definition of down-to-earth. His pace was relaxed and at ease as anticipated the day ahead. Before meeting Emily for their first look on the sweeping lawn adjacent to the Mega Yacht, Rayshawn enjoyed a few laughs with his groomsmen and a tender moment embracing his son. That adorable moment between father and son is one we hope they look back on and cherish for a lifetime.
The Miami skyline is notorious for its crystal blue skies and towering buildings off in the distance. When Emily and Rayshawn’s wedding ceremony began aboard the deck of the SeaFair Mega Yacht, there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Their ceremony space was set with bountiful creamy white floral arrangements paired with hints of baby pink for a romantic feel. Their ceremony space aboard the deck was the epitome of an immersive romantic setting where guests could watch Emily and Rayshawn recite their sacred vows of marriage. The sun blazed overhead with every detail planned to perfection, as Emily and Rayshawn became husband and wife.
The evening's celebration included interactive elements that were meant for all of Emily and Rayshawns guests to enjoy. There was a live painter creating an artistic scene of the day in real-time. Additionally, guests were treated to cigar rolling and live music throughout the night. The evening was complete with a hora loca that filled the air of their reception with an electric kind of energy that brought all of the guests out onto the dance floor as they bid a sweet goodbye to Emily and Rayshawn.

Dreams Macao Beach is a stunning oceanfront wedding venue in Punta Cana. Althay and Alexis were married at Dreams Macao Beach and we were beyond honored to travel to the Dominican Republic to capture every moment for them. This was our second time this year traveling to this stunning resort for one of our couples and the thrill was just as amazing the second time around!
While this may have been our second time visiting this stunning wedding venue and resort, one thing is for sure, we will never tire of the the dreamy views and relaxed atmosphere. And Althay and Alexis did it up big for their wedding at Dreams Macao Beach! Their entire day was al fresco, with a ceremony in the sand and a wedding reception on the rooftop terrace. After all, when you get married in paradise, who wouldn’t want to take advantage of the amazing weather, and the ability to spend the night dancing under the stars?!
Althay and Alexis can only be described as an easy, go-with-the-flow kind of couple. They were beyond joyful on the day of their wedding and trusted us with their vision of capturing each moment. Their wedding day was an intimate celebration of around 50 guests and kicked off in the bride’s suite. My beautiful bride got ready in true wedding day fashion, in her bridal suite, with her mom and maid of honor; lounging in matching PJs! With her hair and makeup done, her corseted top ball gown was fastened and we were ready to work on her bridal portraits. We stepped outside to take advantage of the bright blue sky and the venue's contemporary architecture. With a twirl of her gown and a glowy look in her eyes, she was a total natural in front of the camera.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Dreams Macao Beach Gazebo. This particular space is right on the sand and provides a picturesque backdrop of the ocean. The beach gazebo space also includes a wood-planked aisle. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want to enhance their wedding day with floral arrangements, and lanterns (something Wild Earth Designs does for their couples in Utah).Which is exactly what Althay and Alexis chose for their best day ever! At the end of the aisle, a circular floral arbor, made of white roses and greenery, set the stage for Althay and Alexis to become husband and wife.
With the couple pronounced as married, it was time to hit the beach for their wedding day portraits. The sea crashed against the shore and the wind blew in their hair, and they took each moment in stride, enjoying being in each other’s company as newlyweds. With portraits wrapped, we were off to the rooftop terrace for a reception under the stars. The couple outfitted their space with a cake swing, a giant LOVE marquee, and cafe lights twinkling overhead. Just wait until you see all the lush details of Althay and Alexis’s wedding at Dreams Macao Beach, by scrolling through the photos below!

Rusty Pelican Wedding
One thing is for sure, hosting a Rusty Pelican Wedding comes with idyllic views of Key Biscayne. You and your guests can enjoy these views during your ceremony and reception, but what I love most about the skyline in the backdrop is working with my couples on sunset portraits. To see more details click the link below.
This Rusty Pelican Wedding was a celebration of the love that Laura and Luis share!
We always say what a special connection we have to our couples. Whether they are friends, family members, or friends who become family members, working side by side with them on the most important day of their lives creates an unshakable bond. In fact, Laura and Luis are related to a close friend of ours who also works in the wedding industry. Isn’t life so funny sometimes? He offered our name to Laura and Luis and asked if we would capture every cherished moment of their best day ever. Our answer was, of course, was a resounding yes!
To get ready for their wedding, Laura and Luis booked suites at the nearby Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. The Ritz-Carlton provides amazing proximity to the Rusty Pelican, but also a stunning backdrop for getting-ready photos and a first look. Laura’s bridal style was absolutely timeless, and the camera loved her! Her wedding dress was full of embroidered details, giving every photo a different perspective of her gorgeous gown. In addition to her classic wedding day attire, Laura carried a sleek bouquet filled with white Cala Lilies. Attached to the stems was a pendant with a photo of her father. It was a beautiful way to honor her father’s presence on her wedding day.
One thing is for sure: hosting a Rusty Pelican Wedding comes with idyllic views of Key Biscayne. You and your guests can enjoy these views during your ceremony and reception, but what I love most about the skyline in the backdrop is working with my couples on sunset portraits. I always find a way to sneak them out, just for a quick minute, as the sun is setting over the horizon (Love Jackie Weddings, a CT photographer, does the same with her couples!). It’s a beautiful way to end the night while capturing the beauty of their breathtaking setting.
Laura and Luis’s wedding reception at the Rusty Pelican was done in a color palette of creamy white with gold details. It was romantic meets chic with lush florals and romantic candlelight. They treated their guests to live entertainment and topped off the night with a delectable three-tier wedding cake. The Palms Hotel and Spa in Miami Beach is an elegant but laid-back wedding venue. It is located directly parallel to the blue-green waters of the beach. Making it a fabulous wedding venue for couples who want sunset photos by the water.
Kristi and Louis are an amazing couple, originally from New York, who knew that they wanted to plan their wedding at the Palms Hotel. They are both so down to earth and they enjoyed every moment of their wedding day by being present and going with the flow. In fact, they decided to forgo a first look on their wedding day and meet at the altar. Many couples worry that skipping a first look might leave them with a less-than-stellar wedding photography experience. But, Kristi and Louis were so open to our ideas that we were able to have a fun creative experience on their wedding day. Leaving them with a wide range of wedding photos with every possible backdrop at our disposal.
Kristi and Louis's engagement story unfolded when the couple was three years into their journey together. One fateful date night, Louis took Kristi out to the same restaurant where they had their first date. It was there that he asked Kristi to be his wife. The surprise engagement was only a portion of their story. Louis also set up a surprise engagement party the next night, for the couple to celebrate with all of their family and friends. With so much thought and detail behind their engaement story, it should come as no surprise that their wedding day was filled with personalized elements that reflected their personalities as well.
One element, that could not have been planned, was the arrival of two special visitors. During their vows, two doves landed on the top of the gazebo where Kristi and Louis’s ceremony took place! It was a beautifully symbolic moment to see the birds that represent peace and love, attending their wedding.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, it was time to hit the beach. Kristi, Louis, and their wedding party all took a walk with us to the beach for some epic moments in front of the colorful lifeguard stand on Miami Beach. With the wedding party photos captured, we turned our attention to the bride and groom. Kristi was so amazing about walking through the sand in her wedding dress, with her veil floating in the wind behind her. These moments produced some of the most amazing portraits of the bride and groom. To see all the details of Kristi and Louis’s Palms Hotel Wedding, scroll through the photos below.

Trump National Doral Miami is quickly becoming a premier venue among our couples! Katherine and Mark held their wedding reception there after a church ceremony that sealed them as husband and wife.
Katherine and Mark are one bride and groom who have flawless taste! From their attire, to the decor, and the food and beverage service they provided their guests. Every detail of their wedding day was nothing less than top-notch and we are going to share it all with you.
But, first things first! We met our gorgeous bride in her getting-ready suite as she was putting the finishing touches on her wedding day look. Her gorgeous off-the-shoulder wedding gown was buttoned up by her family before carefully placing her cathedral-length veil, just behind her bridal crown. Covered in embroidered floral elements, Katherine’s veil was such a beautiful enhancement to her opulent ball gown. Once dressed for the day, we worked with our bride on her wedding day portraiture before heading off to the ceremony.
Mark, in a chic black Vera Wang tux, awaited his bride's arrival through the long stretch of church pews. Taking her hand from her father, they proceeded to the altar together where their sacred vows of marriage were recited and two became one. While their ceremony was undeniably heart-warming and a beautiful union of their love, the best was yet to come!
Katherine and Mark were off to their wedding reception at Trump National Doral Miami. While their guests had not yet been permitted to enter their reception space, the bride and groom were treated to a private room reveal of their reception setup. The looks of pure delight on their faces will tell you everything you need to know about how their wedding day vision was brought to life!
Once their guests began arriving, Katherine and Mark's wedding at Trump National Doral Miami started with a plated dinner. From there, the bride and groom took to the dance floor for a first dance before embracing this special moment with their parents as well.
Then, the night really began to heat up. There was a fabulous Hora Loca performance with cold fireworks that pulled all of their guests onto the dance floor. But one very special element still awaited the groom! A surprise vising from the UM mascot! Katherine and Mark's wedding was such an unbelievably festive night, filled with love and unforgettable moments. Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana Wedding
Carolina & Christopher are married! Their best day ever took place at Dreams Macao Beach in Punta Cana, and it was an unforgettable wedding day for all in attendance.
Before meeting down the aisle, the bride and groom opted to have an intimate first look. It was a moment filled with anticipation, joy, and sheer happiness. Christopher’s face was positively glowing when he first laid eyes on his beautiful bride. When it came time to recite their sacred vows, Carolina was escorted down the aisle by her mother and brother. Carolina’s brother also stood by her side, as she and Christopher became husband and wife.
Overlooking the sparkling sea, Dreams Macao Beach is an idyllic setting for a dreamy destination wedding. Carolina & Christopher chose to hold their wedding ceremony on the white sands of Punta Cana. A beautiful wedding day arbor made of driftwood framed their I dos. In attendance were just under 100 members of their family, and their cherished friends.
All white florals with hints of tropical greenery adorned guests seating at the wedding ceremony. Additionally, towering arrangements were set at the couple’s reception tables and echoed the same design. The florals lent themselves to a crisp, timeless meets elegant wedding day, but with a touch of tropical influence from the heart of the island.
Carolina and Christopher are such a fun couple and we are beyond honored that they chose us to document their gorgeous Dreams Macao Beach, Punta Cana Wedding! To see a few of our favorite moments from their wedding day, scroll through the photos in the blog below.

Briza on the Bay Wedding
Over 200 guests were in attendance for Alyson and Michael’s wedding at Briza on the Bay.
An unforgettable wedding in Miami begins with the selection of a truly breathtaking wedding venue. Briza on the Bay provides a heart-stopping backdrop for your wedding day. Stretched out as far as the eye can see are views of the cool waters across the bay. It's not difficult to find a wedding venue with waterfront views in Miami. But finding one with a large-scale reception space to accommodate over 100 guests is where it can become a difficult task. One of the many reasons we love working with our coupes at Briza on the Bay.
Casual elegance with an air of sophistication, Alyson and Michael’s wedding was full of details that sparkle and moments imbued with romance. Getting ready for the day in her bridal suite, Alyson had her bridal party and her mother at her side. With her veil carefully placed, she was on her way to meet Michael for a first look before their ceremony. Michael very much had an air of calm about him before their first look. But laying eyes on his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day filled him with joy.
With close friends, cherished family members, and a late-night serving of pizza; Alyson and Michael’s wedding day was planned in their vision of modern meets timeless. To see all the details from Alyson & Michael’s Briza on the Bay wedding, scroll through the photos in the blog below.

Plan Your Wedding at Trump National Doral in Miami
Are you thinking about planning your wedding at Trump National Doral in Miami?
I personally fell in love with this venue when we worked with Ashley & John to capture their wedding day! As an experienced Miami wedding photographer, my clients often have questions about finding the right local wedding venue and my thoughts on what their wedding photography experience will look like. It’s rare that I have that conversation outside of a client relationship, so I thought it would be fun to talk a bit more about it on the blog!
It’s Not Always About the Location..
I have captured weddings in Miami, Napa Valley, and Antarctica. I’ve worked with my couples to celebrate their engagements on yachts, in local parks, and at historic buildings. While the location and the backdrop make a huge difference to your photography experience, I will admit, it’s not everything!
The best moments in my wedding photography career have always happened with a joyful couple who were willing to trust me and follow my lead. I saw firsthand what that level of trust produced for Ashley and John’s wedding day at Trump National Doral and I knew that it was the perfect recipe for an unforgettable wedding photography experience.
Trump National Doral in Miami is absolutely stunning, the whole landscape provides an endless scene of fountains, gardens, and greenery. And it’s all wide open with nothing obstructing the background, rare in a city like Miami! But, the stone terrace with skyline views and endless clouds was one of my favorite spots on location. I was able to capture my gorgeous bride in a setting befitting of her fairytale gown!
Inside You’ll Find..
The inside of this venue is on par with what you might come to expect of a high-end wedding venue in Miami. It’s always been my belief that any venue can be transformed with the right planning & design along with a couple who have a unique vision. But my eye as a wedding photographer is drawn to the window front reception room! You’ll get to see the contrast in the lighting of Ashley & John’s reception from day to night and what a difference the right amount of lighting can have on your wedding photography! Plymouth Congregational Church Wedding Portraits Miami
If you get married at Plymouth Congregational Church in Miami, you have to capture your wedding portraits there!
My sweet bride & groom, Francesca, and Jordan were happily joined at Plymouth Congregational Church in Miami. However, as luck would have it, it rained on their wedding day! Rain is thought to signify a positive omen on a wedding day that brings about a happy & long-lasting marriage. But it’s not exactly ideal for shooting wedding portraits. Because of the rain, Francesca and Jordan really wanted a do-over of their wedding day portraits outside their wedding venue. How could I possibly say no?
The day we met for their portraits, the beautiful Miami sun was glowing all around us. I knew instantly that the weather was perfect for creating glowy unforgettable moments. But, I also knew how much this shoot meant to them, and, above all, I wanted to make sure this shoot not only met their expectations but exceeded them as well! We had a little help in the form of Francesca’s parents who came along on the day of the shoot. It’s funny actually, I met Francesa through her mother, who had worked with me previously on family portraits.
My focus once we arrived on location was to recreate the timeless moments that happen between a couple right after they say I do. Tender embraces, joyful smiles, and stolen kisses. Francesca and Jordan came fully dressed in their wedding day attire and ready to take in all the romantic feelings of their wedding day, one last time.
Francesca’s bridal gown was a romantic off-the-shoulder dress that she paired with a cathedral-length mantilla veil. Her whole bridal look appears as if it was ripped right out of the pages of a modern bride magazine! With such a gorgeously romantic look, we worked on bridal portraits using different perspectives of Plymouth Congregational Church to set the scene. Scroll through the photos below to see more of Francesa’s bridal portraits and how we worked to recreate the magic moments of Francesca & Jordan’s wedding day!

Ashley & John's Wedding at Trump National Doral Miami
Ashley & John's Wedding at Trump National Doral Miami was a fun day full of epic moments! I have to admit, their wedding venue is quickly becoming one of my favorites in Miami. The resort is absolutely stunning! It’s an endless scene of fountains, gardens, and the most gorgeous greenery you have ever set eyes on. The reception space for Ashley and John’s wedding was extravagant, with the most epic view. But the bride and groom had impeccable taste and when it came to their wedding day decor, their reception was transformed into the most elegant, chic, modern wedding!
The bride and groom’s connection has a little something to do with the University of Miami! Ashley met John’s brother while she was still attending UM. Once she graduate, she began tailgating with his brother and friends. Over the course of the season, they exchanged hellos, but it wasn’t until the very last game of the season that they struck up a conversation. They reconnected about a month after that initial conversation and from there, they began dating. Ashley and John quickly became inseparable. When she began graduate school, the couple started taking steps to move in together. From there they bought their first home, brought home their fur baby, and in October, John proposed!
John popped the question to his beautiful bride in front of the U statue of the University of Miami Coral Gables Campus. The University of Miami was such a big part of how they met, so it seemed only fitting that their story continue in the same way. John completely took Ashley by surprise with his proposal and even included her best friend in on it! With Ashley’s friend taking photos of the proposal, there was one more surprise in store for the bride-to-be. John, a firefighter for Coral Gables Fire Rescue, had the fire trucks meet them at the proposal location in order to take photos and mark the occasion of their engagement!
With the proposal sealed, there was only one thing left to do. Plan the unforgettable wedding day of their dreams! Over 150 guests attended their wedding at Trump National Doral Miami. With a chic color palette of black, white, and maroon, and a surprise appearance by the University of Miami’s mascot, Sebastion the Ibis, their day was nothing short of epic! Scroll through the photos below to see all the details of Ashley & John’s wedding at Trump National Doral in Miami.
